AVEK Award 2020 winner Jenna Sutela's video essay Holobiont (2018) can be watched on AVEK's website until 20.9.2020.

The AVEK Award was presented annually from 2004 to 2023 in recognition of creative work. The award, worth €15,000, could be granted to a creator or group working in media arts or other audiovisual culture.

The 2019 AVEK Award was granted to artist Reija Meriläinen, who works with videos, sculptures and installations. The AVEK Award, worth €15,000, is granted by the Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture (AVEK) operating within Kopiosto. The award was presented today at AVEK’s New Year celebration, held at Espoo Museum of Modern Art (EMMA).

The winner of the 2018 AVEK Award is visual artist Saara Ekström. The AVEK Award for media arts, worth EUR 15,000, was presented today at the 40th anniversary celebration of Kopiosto, held in Bio Rex, Helsinki. The AVEK Award, granted by the Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture (AVEK) operating within Kopiosto, is the most significant accolade in the field of media arts in Finland.
