Application deadlines

AVEK's source of funding, the compensation for private copying, will be halved in 2025. We are now waiting for information on how the compensation will be distributed to the different actors and what the share of our funds will be in 2025. Due to the situation new applications cannot be submitted now. Final reports for previously supported projects can be submitted in our application system normally. We will announce next application periods in early 2025 through our information channels.

In 2019, AVEK promoted sustainable development and media art

AVEK distributed EUR 3.7 million in grants in 2019. During the year, 971 applications were processed, 439 of which received the grant. In the autumn of 2019, the decision-making process already took into account the principles of sustainable development, and this year the responsibility of the productions is also promoted through its own form of support.

Versatile artist Reija Meriläinen receives the 2019 AVEK Award

The 2019 AVEK Award was granted to artist Reija Meriläinen, who works with videos, sculptures and installations. The AVEK Award, worth €15,000, is granted by the Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture (AVEK) operating within Kopiosto. The award was presented today at AVEK’s New Year celebration, held at Espoo Museum of Modern Art (EMMA).
