Hi! I am Mikko Löyttyniemi. I started my job as a specialist at Kopiosto at the beginning of August 2021. My role in Customer Relations is to maintain and develop cooperation with the education sector, participate in events and disseminate information about copyright to teachers. I also contribute to the preparation of materials and the development of Kopiraittila produced by Kopiosto.
I have had a rather long career as a teacher. For the past ten years, I was also heavily involved in developing the skills of teachers in Espoo in the use of learning technologies in teaching. It was a pleasure to see how teachers were still willing to take the time to learn new things after their days at work.
What attracted me to Kopiosto was the opportunity to use my knowledge of education from a new and important perspective. I believe that my teacher contacts will be useful in my future tasks. Of course, I also hope for active communication from the field. Now that our own children have grown up, the varying hours of the working day and business trips also fit my schedule better.
Schools and educational institutions work a lot with creative works. Copyright must be kept on the agenda, not least for the sake of the curriculum. I feel that we at Kopiosto are making a difference.
In my free time, music soothes my mind in many ways. I appreciate live music and playing together. The language and communication of music is something that cannot be replaced by machines.
