Supplementing teaching materials with licences to works
We enable the responsible use of supplementary material in teaching environments to supplement teaching activities. We grant licences for the copying of copyrighted materials and TV programmes. The majority of Finnish educational institutions have our copying licence and licence to use TV programmes. As a teacher, your responsibility is to use the works according to the licence.

Copyright remunerations promote Finnish creative industries
We disburse the remunerations collected on licences to use works to creative industries. The copyright remunerations we distribute to creators, publishers and performing artists enable the production of new works and the development of the field.
We pay some of the remunerations directly to the creators of works and performing artists, others we disburse to our member organisations representing the creative industries. The organisations use copyright funds for various means that support the creative industries, such as grants. Our member organisations also use the copyright remunerations to finance a number of acknowledgments in the creative industries, including the awards Illustrator of The Year, Science Book of the Year, Warelius Award, J. A. Hollo Award, Non-fiction Writers’ Award as well as the various Finlandia Prizes.
