We are looking for authors of TV programmes
Every year, copyright remunerations are accumulated for TV programmes with insufficient information and cannot be paid. Are you the author we are looking for?
We publish the new lists of unknown authors every September. Authors and performers can check the lists of unknown authors to search for programmes that have accumulated remunerations but lack information on the authors or performers. The remunerations remain available for three years from the date of distribution.
Do this:
- Select the list based on your role and check if it includes programmes made by you.
- Enter your name in the ‘Author’ column of the programmes. If the programme has involved other people or copyright holders in the same role as you, also enter the number or names of these persons.
- Save and send the list complemented with your information by email to tilitys(at)kopiosto.fi.
- Alternatively, you can write down the product numbers of the programmes in the first column and send them to us.
- It will suffice that you report the information to us once a year. The lists are not updated once they have been published – so please do not worry if your programmes remain on the list even after you have already registered as the author. On the ‘My programmes’ page of OmaKopiosto, you can see the programmes for which you have been marked as an author in our database.
We can only pay remunerations to authors who have provided us with their current personal, tax and banking details. Update your details for payment in OmaKopiosto (only in Finnish) by logging in or registering for the service.
